I'm a native San Diegan, which seems to be a less common thing these days in our growing city. My two sons were raised here and are both in college now. This is home. When I'm not working, you can find me at the gym, running through Little Italy and along the harbor, or spending time with friends and family.
I earned my bachelor's degree at San Diego State, then went on to graduate school at Cal State San Marcos and the University of San Diego, where I earned my master's in education and studied educational leadership.
I spent nearly 20 years as an educator and school leader in San Diego, including time as principal at The Monarch School, serving students experiencing homelessness. Running schools taught me that clear systems and direct communication are how you take care of people. Not optional. Foundational.
I carried that into property management. I grew my last company to over 300 doors before selling my share. That decade taught me what works in San Diego and what falls apart when no one is paying attention.
I built Best Nest on both of those backgrounds. The operations knowledge comes from managing hundreds of doors. The system's thinking comes from running schools where nothing worked unless it worked for everyone. And as a real estate investor myself, I understand what's at stake when someone else handles your asset.
